Does our Highlands Ranch Dental office take your dental insurance?
Many patients call our dental office and ask the question “Do you take my dental insurance”.
The simple answer is “YES”, we absolutely work with all dental insurance companies that will work with us. Dental Insurance, or more commonly referred to as dental benefits are unlike Medical Insurance. With dental insurance, you do not have to see an in-network provider or doctor to receive your full benefits of your coverage. Most dental insurances have the flexibility to allow you to see the dentist of your choosing while still receiving benefits. Our office works hard in making sure you receive the full reimbursement amount available by your dental insurance.
Why is our Highlands Ranch Dental Office Considered “Out of Network?”
We like to call ourselves unrestricted by dental insurance rather than out of network. This means that we are not restricted by the confines of dental insurance. We can treat your whole dental health, rather that what just dental insurance will pay for. Our vision for our patients is to treat you like family. When you schedule an appointment at our office, you are the only person scheduled with us. We do not see multiple patients at the same time. You are given our full undivided attention like you deserve. We also believe in providing you with the highest quality lab products. Did you know that dental labs are not created equally? We believe in only working with laboratories and products that deliver the best and long-lasting results. Many times, the in-network fee would not cover the cost for these materials or laboratories, and we feel you deserve the best dentistry has to offer.
Understanding dental benefits and what you are actually paying for
Typically, most dental insurance companies will have a $1,000-$2,000 annual maximum that DOES NOT roll over year to year. Many times, this amount will cover healthy mouth cleanings, exams, and radiographs. Any dental treatment usually will have large out of pocket expenses, deductibles, and waiting periods, and even exclusions. We have many of our patients “DO THE MATH” and it simply does not add up. They are paying more per month for their dental “insurance” then what the dental insurance is reimbursing for services. Many of these people would be better to put that monthly amount in a savings account that they can use freely on services they want or to join our membership program.
Is there an Alternative to dental insurance?
Absolutely! Many of our patients after doing the math, realize that dental insurance is NOT a good investment for them. Typically, these patients put aside what they were paying per month into a savings account or HSA account and come out money ahead. Another alternative is our monthly membership program, called Illumatrac. This membership club has a one-time registration fee of $99 that covers your first month’s expenses. After that, a healthy mouth two cleanings a year cost $34/month per person. A person needing periodontal maintenance will cost $65/month and covers 4 cleanings a year. In additional, to covering the cost of all cleanings, it will also cover all of the necessary exams, radiographs, and Fluoride treatments for the year. Any dental treatment will receive 15% off at our office and 10% off at any of our preferred specialist office.
