Dr. Parsons decided at a young age that she wanted to be in the family business and follow in her parent's footsteps. Dr. Parsons loves everything about dentistry and how it can truly change lives. Dr. Parsons' believes that the mouth is the gateway to the rest of the body, and a healthy mouth helps leads to better overall health. Dr. Parsons places high importance on continuing education and taking their practice to the next level. She is a life long learner and takes numerous courses to expand her knowledge to provide the most up to date techniques and services. These courses include but are not limited to dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, sedation, invisalign, bonding, traditional crown and bridge, dental technology and customer service.
Dr. Sarah D. Parsons is a fourth generation Colorado native. She grew up in Centennial, CO not too far from Cottonwood Dental Group's current location.
Undergraduate: She attended Colorado State University on a swimming scholarship as a distance swimmer, she was named Mountain West Scholar Athlete. Dr. Parsons received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Colorado State University in 2005.
Post Graduate and Doctorate Training: Dr. Parsons then went on to attend the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2010. The DeLapp family is the first family to have a father, mother, and daughter to all receive their D.D.S. degree from the University of Colorado. While in dental school, Dr. Parsons served as her class Vice President. She also was nominated by the faculty to serve on a committee providing funding to senior citizens in need of dental care. Upon graduation, Dr. Parsons was asked to serve as a Clinical Instruction at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, in the Restorative Department. She helped tutor and mentor the next generation of dental students aspiring to become dentist.
Personal: Dr. Parsons maintains her practice in Highlands Ranch, CO where she practices with her mother, Dr. H. Candace DeLapp. Dr. Parsons is married to her high school sweetheart, Jeff, and they have two children. During her free time, Dr. Parsons loves spending time with her family and enjoying the Sunshine in Colorado.
Immediately after dental school, I began working as a dentist in Highlands Ranch alongside my mother, Dr. Candace DeLapp. Since then we have worked side-by-side as Colorado dentists committed to providing world-class, on time dentistry to our community.
