Researchers in the Netherlands are currently working on a plastic that is infused with ammonium salts. This plastic then can be integrated with 3-D printers and used to make a variety of dental appliances including mouth guards and even teeth. This special plastic infused with ammonium salts will neutralized Streptoccous mutans (cavity causing bacteria) to prevent cavities from forming.

What does this mean for our Highlands Ranch Dental Office? We are super excited that we can help be on the cutting edge of science and technology and help prevent cavities from even forming. We believe prevention is the best medicine!

We look forward to seeing where this science and technology takes the field of dentistry! In the meantime, if you have any concerns call our office and speak with one of our outstanding team members or schedule an appointment with Dr. DeLapp or Dr. Parsons. Contact us today at 303-694-9740.
